Metals and alloys may not posses all the desired properties in the finished product. Heat treatment is extensively used for controlling and improving material properties.

In heat treatment, the microstructures of materials are modified. The resulting phase transformation influences mechanical properties like strength, ductility, toughness, hardness and wear resistance.

Purpose of heat treatment is to increase service life of a product by increasing its strength of hardness, or prepare the material for improved manufacturability.

Precision Engineering has a good facility for heat treating a variety of steel and aluminum alloys. Heat Treatment shop is equipped with vacuum and air circulation furnaces. Maximum size/volume of parts which can be heat treated is 1.5 X 1.5 X 1.5 feet.

Heat Treatment process is Nadcap approved.
